I only got up to the Vintiques of Yakima NW Nats on Friday this year due to my nephews wedding of the century over the weekend.
Here are some of the Hamb friendly cars that were there on Friday when I was there. Friday has become the run around the valley to wineries, breweries and mix in some touristing or shopping for a lot of out of town folks attending the event with the big show and tell on Saturday.
The in progress 32 coupe was in our member Rocket's Hotrod Garage's booth and was getting a lot of attention.
My camera just flat liked the little Green A coupe in another shops display.
The primered 3 window was over in another booth and that was about it for what I can show of the cars inside the dome. IMG_7278.JPG IMG_7279.JPG IMG_7280.JPG IMG_7281.JPG IMG_7282.JPG IMG_7284 (2).JPG

The 37 is said to be a restored race car that ran at the local speedway back in the day. It belongs to one of the guys who is promoting the circle track racing at the track now. The 55 belongs to one of my first students from when I started teaching Auto Mechanics and the first student I had for three years. He just finished it and got it on the road in the past few weeks. It runs a 454, has a narrowed rear with huge meats on the back and is about as sharp a 55 as you will ever find that a guy built in a home garage only farming out the paint, interior and narrowing of the rear axle. Another former student painted it.
The little flathead powered A coupe next to it was interesting too.
I almost passed on taking photos of the purple 34 coupe because of the bottle on the running board. If you have stuff sitting on or around your car you may never see me post a photo of it from an event. Pickings were slim so I relented and posted it.
    The Teal AD truck shows up every year and parks in the same spot. IMG_7310.JPG IMG_7312 (2).JPG IMG_7313.JPG IMG_7314 (2).JPG IMG_7315.JPG IMG_7316.JPG IMG_7318 (2).JPG IMG_7321.JPG IMG_7322.JPG IMG_7324.JPG IMG_7325.JPG IMG_7326 (2).JPG

A lot of years ago I traded for a 57 Star chief two door hardtop that my wife thought was ugly. I traded it off but had wanted to paint it black with a red spear just like this 57 Super Chief.
The 32 sports coupe was interesting and the black roadster looks like one I was watching on FB marketplace a while back. IMG_7331.JPG IMG_7332.JPG IMG_7337.JPG IMG_7138.JPG IMG_7341 (2).JPG IMG_7344.JPG IMG_7339.JPG IMG_7340.JPG

    I've always had a thing for 57 Olds ever since my dad had a black one with a J-2 Tripower in it when I was in my teens. IMG_7360.JPG IMG_7361 (2).JPG IMG_7362.JPG IMG_7363.JPG IMG_7364.JPG IMG_7365.JPG IMG_7366.JPG IMG_7367.JPG IMG_7368.JPG

survivor looking 34 with a blown hemi no lesstr.
Back over in the back corner of the camp ground area were these three heavy hitter Chevy trucks. I do like those little 36/37 Bobber trucks.
I didn't make it out to the street rod drags friday night but have a notion that they may have made some passes. Over in the swap meet corner the little yellow T was pretty nice and looked to have a fresh interior.
The Chopped 47 Merc coupe had the hard work done and someone did a nice job getting the quarter window right and the shape of the top right. Has an MII front end and some OT later model engine that I couldn't ID. IMG_7392.JPG IMG_7393.JPG IMG_7394.JPG IMG_7395.JPG IMG_7396.JPG IMG_7397.JPG IMG_7398.JPG IMG_7399.JPG IMG_7400.JPG

Some Huge gangsta white walls that the tag said were new.
I bought the Honda 90 wheel for my cycle kart project. Bought a flathead truck fan and hub from the same guy.
2 carb intake and some running boards, and a splash apron for an AD truck and some seats for some sort of panel truck

A set of huge gangsta wide whites already mounted. Oops, the Honda 90 wheel I bought for my cycle kart project. a pair of genuine hop truck doors with signs from a real (and still going) hop farm.

It's changed some with all the up to 72 being let in. Not a lot of the old members left but Artie has moved back to Yakima and is pretty active again. He has the GMC truck with Buick bumpers and the blown inline GMC six in it. I met him at Vintiques 41 years ago when he poured a pitcher of Ice water on my wife in a wet T shirt contest that she ended up getting second place in. Those were the crazy late 70's. Wheels on the red sedan aren't all that kosher but the chop is right on and it has a perfect stance.

The model of the Ranchero pulling the midget on a single axle trailer knocked it out of the park but I couldn't get a very good shot of it.
That's it for Friday, the next few posts will be from Thursday night IMG_7444.JPG IMG_7453.JPG IMG_7444.JPG IMG_7453.JPG IMG_7444.JPG IMG_7453.JPG

Ok, I'm not going to start a new thread on this as it has been a part of Vintiques NW Nats for a number just like the Street Rod Drags out at Renegade on Friday night.
The location is the Sea Galley Restaurant in Union Gap on Thursday night and it is an open event for anyone in the area or in town with a nifty ride. Live band and what not and some interesting rides that may or may not be entered in the actual Vintiques show.

Sweet 36 parked next to Bill Ross's F100.
The little Blue 32 Roadster parked with them spent 3 days parked next to my car in a garage in Victoria at Deuce days coming out for the show on Sunday. Bills F100 is one of a number of nifty rides he has built over the years and just like the rest hits it right on the mark. IMG_7157.JPG IMG_7158.JPG IMG_7159.JPG IMG_7216.JPG IMG_7251.JPG IMG_7257.JPG IMG_7181.JPG IMG_7182.JPG IMG_7184.JPG IMG_7186.JPG IMG_7187.JPG

This 27 T spun my wheels. 1/4 eleptics on all 4 corners, fit and finish to match most rods out there,Big later Olds V8. I had intended to take a lot more photos but the owner got me distracted telling me about it.
The little Flathead powered A sedan was the last photo I took before visiting with Lee Olson for a few minutes before heading to the car and home. IMG_7250.JPG IMG_7252.JPG IMG_7253.JPG IMG_7254.JPG IMG_7255.JPG IMG_7256.JPG IMG_7258.JPG IMG_7259.JPG IMG_7263.JPG IMG_7264.JPG IMG_7265.JPG
