Both stopped me dead in my tracks...figured I should share with you guys...even used my camera and not my phone! And this was parked in front of Vic Edelbrock's stable of race cars,he was nowhere to be found but I'm pretty sure it's his:
Bruce Meyer is the hot-rod guy; Bruce Meyers created the Meyers Manx dune buggy which launched an entire hobby/industry.
Thanks, AV8. My neighbor is a big Meyers-Manx fan, has a Ghia in his front yard tree; two Meyers-Manx buggies, unfinished. He asks me technical questions about VW, Duners, etc.; came over with the info that Bruce Meyer now has a registered owners' association. I told him Bruce's last name HAS to be pluralized. (Whew!)
Different Bruce Meyers. The Hotrod one didn't invent the dune buggy, and doesn't have an "S" at the end of his name. The one that did is at least 80 plus.
Well that figures,he's always at Laguna but I didn't see him yesterday. I was at Bruce Canepa's cars & coffee event in Scotts Valley on Saturday and the chopped SoCal speedster that Bruce owns and is normally parked in the museum section of Canepa's was gone...so I figured it was somewhere on the Peninsula.
Well I'm glad we finally sorted out all of our Bruce Meyerses. Only took about 12 posts. We can all sleep sound now. BTW, nice hot rod pics. Thanks for posting
