"A Christmas Carol" The RPU Build

I keep getting asked by several people (Big John) to start a thread on my 26 T roadster pickup build so here it is. I have been working that past two weeks with clark and junior building my frame and getting the heavy fab work out of the way before i bring it home and do all the body work and detail on the truck. I have had the body for about 5 years and have been collecting parts up until this point. The body is a 26 touring cab that i bought from junior. The engine is a y-block not sure of the size it came out of my 56 f-100 i think its a 292. I have a 3x2 intake for it and am putting a 3 speed overdrive tranny behind it. The rear axle is a 35 or 36 ford banjo with front bones welded to the back section of the rear bones. The front is a 4" drop axle with posies spring suicide mount on split bones. The grill shell is 26 T accessory (thanks Clark). Thats all i can think of now not really good at writing these things up and am even worse at remembering to take pics but heres what i have so far... on with the pics

wait til some big "burly" guy (burl ives look a like) comes by and starts in with "holly, jolly christmas!" - trav, looks great, those boys sure know what they're doin! - I might be in the minority around that shop but love the FoMoCo power. Don't let them wear you out on "pulleys". only 50 diff combos on mine.

 

junior keeps tryin to get me to put a small block in it but then id be like every other ford with a chevy motor so no cross breeding here this ones a pure bred.

About the smallblock...I'm only saying it because of the stuck, rusty looking like it's been buried on a swamp Y-block you have. How about the nailhead you were talking about? I have a nailhead you could ad to your list.

 

made some more progress today making motor mounts not once but twice and a third attempt at a tranny mount but hopefully we will be welding it all in tommorow and have that part behind us.

I also managed to turn the christmas music off for a couple hours

from x-mas to hee haw music when this big bulry guy picked up his presents today,keep bustin' ass, mine finally has all 4 down on the ground,by the way what is the flavor of choice at bad donkey and don't say milk & cookies!

 

got some more work done today moto is mounted and the firewall has been recessed for the master cylinder. also made the mount for the brake and clutch pedal assembly

yes clark we have smoke, the alley got tattooed,my girl took pic's for me with her phone then said she also had video!! lets just say 20 feet of posi, 1 leap into the bush, I guess I for got to say action,tags & ins. tommrow ,wed bad donkey driveway.

thanks guys its coming along theres a lot more detail work then i had thought, especially since clark makes me drill holes in everything. I know what im buying bad donkee for christmas... a new 2" hole saw bit.
