I have a '77 Maverick rear with 3.40 & trac loc. Does anyone know what other brake drums are the same? Local parts have no stock & no knowledge of cross reference.

I think the 72-74 has the same centre bore as the mustang - or the stock size register for a small bearing 8 or 9'' axle shaft
    the drums are 10 by 1 3/4
I think the 75 up has a larger register/spigot - confusing, as its a small bearing axle shaft with a big bearing register

IF you look on the rock auto, you can see the drums listed, they look like the early ones with the centres simply opened up

if you have a 4 stud axle, then they are 9'' drums

i did have two pairs of shafts 72-74 and 74-77 ,

NAPA and O'Reilly both show they either have or can get them.

Nobby Beat me to suggesting the Rock Auto cheat sheet, 1977 FORD MAVERICK 4.1L 250cid L6 Drum | RockAuto

That is for drums on a rear end out from behind a 250 six. If you click on the info on the Raybestos drums it tells you the size That drum takes a 10 x 1.75 or 10 x 1.81 shoe. If you click on info it tells you what else it fits. Meaning that depending on the engine that was in the car the axle came out of you may have different width shoes.
It looks like Ford actually used one size of rear drum for Mavericks in 77 so you may have won one there.

Had a little difficulty getting drums for the 8 inch from a Maverick under my '54 Ranch Wagon. the ones the parts store get in at first had a register hole the was too small. Ended up with Centric. Thought I had the part number but it along with most of my memory is gone.
