Randy Routt posted a photo of a gas station last week and said he thought someone could use it as a background..... hope he likes the effort.

Good morning, a great start guys. Bob that's a great piece, using Randy's old gas station photo. I tried using it too. I did a sketch of it, as an abandoned old station. Just in pencil. I may try to add some water colors to it. Thanks Gary, That's one Kool Kustom! And Spoggie that 59 is soooo Kool too. Frogz , love the 58 also. I wish they had made them! Ron...

 

Danny {hotrodprimer} posted a photo this week of a New Meaning to Pick-A-Part. I thought is was pretty funny. It had these to Buzzards picking apart a 49 or 50 Ford. So I had to sketch it. Can anyone come up with a funny phrase for it ? Like what goes better with Rust, Red or White? Ron...

One of the members here on HAMB has a 55 Cadillac Coupe Deville project car with 56 Eldorado rear tail section and quarters grafted on. He is thinking of making it into a two seat roadster and asked me if I could do a rendering that might give him some ideas. This is what I came up with. There are any number subtle and not so subtle changes including of course the conversion to a two seater and a sloped style trunk lid that helps with the flow of the rear section of the car. All and all I think it would be a tough but worthwhile project...Wouldn't mind having one myself.

Last week there were several people who complemented Rusty1's wood art. I have always liked his work also.
Here is a board he did for me with our old 53 panel truck in front of my shop, it hangs above my speedometer work bench and always gets complements from customers, especially the old timers who knew my dad and remember him driving it.

I began to set up this week’s show after midnight. Never try to do this when you are half asleep... I was so tired, I’d convinced myself that it was Wednesday/Thursday so I would be setting it up a day early.
Woke up this morning, and it was Friday all along...

One of my early drag cars - circa '76 - ran 10.96 with a single 4bbl flat tappet 427. Lotsa fun.................
