the purpose of land speed racing is to go faster, not slower. for me, if you are not going after getting in the 200 mph club, why bother. -danny
.The roadster is the Dribs and Gibby car first powered by a V-6 and then by the V-8. Car was built by Bob Dornheim. Bob owns the Bigelo & Dornheim lakester which went over 300 MPH at Bonneville last year. Add the I beam put a quickchange back in. With Y block power it should haul ass. Being from the East coast you can run the Wilmington mile in Ohio for the shake down runs and set some records at the same time. Remember have Fun be Safe and go FAST Ronnieroadster
Dribs and Gibby ran a V-8 at Bonneville last year had problems I think the car did go over 200 MPH but was unable to go above the record. The best new combo at Bonneville for a very fast street roadster is the 33/34 roadster body so a few teams are changing to that body for the aero advantage. Look forward to seeing the car run again if you want to contact the builder I have his phone number you can PM me. Ronnieroadster
2011 with the V-8 it ran a 204, over the record but missed a shift on the return run and fell short. 2012 it wasn't running right and the new Mariani E/STR 34 raised the record to like a 214 i think. The 1986 was pitted next to us both years.
I'll call dibs on the old frame... Last I heard it was getting the old 32 frame??? I guess the cheap and easy plan changed. Clark
Not when you are hopping classes. You may have a 250mph car in one class and decide to change the engine to a lower class and go after a 170mph record.
Either way that car will go fast enough to blow the last couple of hairs of his head. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
