Ernie, that was rude. Play nicely now, you two. ;)

I've got 700 'stones on the back and 525 Avons up t'other end. I'm happy but I'd occassionally like a little more for long distances.

I think I've got 7.00 LT's on the rear and 6.00's on the front- but I want to go down to 5.00- 5.25 x 16's on the front.....

I wanted 7.50's on the rear but Coker were out of stock, they gave me the option of 7.00's so thats what i got & have them mounted on 41 Lincoln/Merc 5x16 rims.
The fronts are 6.00's on 4x16 rims & to be honest i realy like 'em & glad thats how it worked out.

    Hello

Does anyone have pics of cars with Firestone 5.00-16 ribbed front tires and 7.00-16 or 7.50-16 rear tires. I'm planning to use Firestone ribbed tires up front and BF Goodrich 7.00-16 in the rear, for my T-27 roadster. I want to use the BF Goodrich tire since it has a little coarser tread. So if anyone else is running that combo it would be great to se pics.

    Thanks, Magnus

  12. These are not very good comparison shots but the pic in the driveway shows 7.0x16 on the back and the one under the tree shows 7.50x16's. Hope they help.

    Hi

Thank you. Your rod really looks great and that tire combo looks super nice. Is it BF Goodrich 7.00-16?

    Thanks, Magnus

That Rolling Bones roadster sure looks right to me. The '32 needs a big rear tire centered correctly in the wheel well to off set the size of the body, and look good.:)

  15. They are Firestone's on the rear.

Is there any difference in the out-of-round problems with the 7.00 VS 7.50 tires. In other words, are the 7.00's more round , or are the 7.50's more round. If one or the other is better, that would definitely help me choose which to purchase.

so after reading this...did traditional dry lake roadsters run 750 in the rear? 600 fronts? I was looking at buying that combination for my dry lake looking roadster.

On the 4 cars I've built with 16's the first deuce roadster had 4.50's on the front and 700's on the rear. Then on the next 2 deuce highboy roadsters I used 500/16's front and 750/16's rear. I also have the latter combination on my deuce highboy pu. On the deuce lakester project I sold Dale Grau I had 500/16's front and 700/18's on the rear. Personally I like the exaggerated look of the big and little's. Must be my generation?
