I'm afraid I'm worthless to you fellas today. Utterly worthless. It has nothing at all to do with the marathon round of hooliganism that Brother Tardel and I partook in last night. We are, in fact, already awake and at em'. It's just that I've got a ...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
Agreed, the saddle shoes are nuts. I had a pair in grade school and another pair maybe my Freshman or Sophomore year, ....... back in the early, early 60s. Can't find the damned things anymore unless they have golf spikes in 'em!
That's pretty funny. Damn I wish I was going. I wish I had the money and I wish I had the time. I know I'm going to regret it. You all have fun and raise hell.
How can I get a shirt? Since I can't make it this year, besides my car is one of those fancy "new models".
In regard to the shoes- they look like "Buster Browns". I spent most of my early years in them (along with the corrective arches for my flat feet) and cried the day I found out that, "you're a big boy now- they don't make them that size". Thanks for the memory Ryan
JJ, if we leave right now and haul ass the whole way, maybe we could make it by 1:30 tomorrow. I bet we could get a few more riders, It will be a blast!
I'll load the Wizard up and be waiting with bells on. Memphis has to come with us so when I'm driving you're on diaper duty.
Ah yes, "Saddle Oxfords" and a Revolution...................... kind of a strange pairing. ASS Party tonight, and a Revolution tomorrow, not so strange. Life is good in Austin, Texas. Can't wait!

Both the tan/brown and the white/black saddle shoes are available from DSW. The name brand is Hush Puppy I believe. Saw them last time I was there and came close to buying a pair.
Can't wait, I'm already in Austin hanging around a creepy hotel filled with pimps, hussies, and hustlers.
The shoes a cool but just look at the face of that little 'Vette it kind of looks like my labrador laying on his side, eyes kind of rolled back with a little smile as I'm rubbing his belly. Plus if he'd adjust the toe out on them front tires he'd probably go a little faster.
I wear brown/brown saddle shoes most days instead of tennis shoes (they're better on my knees and back than Converse). As such, I'm calling your bluff by providing a link to Muffy's Saddle Shoes. The red sole is the most traditional. -Dave
Damnit, wish I could have made it, it just wasn't meant to be. The invite I got, was appreciated. Good luck with the show, Ryan.
A bunch of us are going to have to do a December or March road trip one of these days. As soon as I retire and get the 62 year old school girl out of school I need to visit my inlaws in Central Texas.
I had a pair of those "black & whites" in college. Late 60's. Frat boy cool! Probably get laughed outa the bar today! Maybe they are coming back?
Me and 4 others are piling into Fly'ncolors van about 6:00 in the morning. Guys in the back are gonna be watching the Duece of Spades movie. We'll switch on the way home. Gonna stop at a swap meet in Belton for an hour or so on the way. Hopefully we wont be broke when we get to Austin.
I am missing the A.S.S. party tonight, but I will drive down in the morning. Yes I will still drag my ass in at about 1:30!
"As cool as his little Vette is, his shoes are what owns me. I’d totally rock a pair." There's a good selection here: http://www.shoebuy.com/saddle-shoes.htm
