So, I broke the end off the manual valve in my valve body. I was able to buy a group of junked transmission parts for cheap. The parts included an old valve body and manual valve. I dropped the pan and found that simply replacing the manual valve was very simple. When I shift through the gears the valve moves as it should therefore I replaced the pan, filled it up with ATF and nothing. Is there a priming process or some such thing? Clearly I'm no Transmission guy. p.s. I've owned the car for a decade and have had to drop the pan several times. Occasionally the valve would jump past the linkage, It was a little bent and when rotated just right it would miss the linkage. I assume it finally just broke from stress. I only mention this so you don't think it broke due to some catastrophic phenomenon.
