    Used to ride past the Comet on my bike. It was in the showroom of the old Thompson dealership in Dundalk Md.. It sat next to one of their race hydro-planes. Always stopped and looked. Gene.

    For the past two weeks I've been recording/digitizing/editing all my Drag Racing sound recordings on vinyl. Last night I finally came to 'Hurst Takes You To The '64 Nationals'........this is a clip from that album:

    In 1976 I had just finished the first rebuild of my Cyclone, Boss 302 engine, 9” rear end, etc. I wrote a letter (long before email!)
    to Jack Chrisman asking him about Comet parts. I received the letter attached below with a list of available parts, (dumb me did not buy them) and a photo of him and his famous A/FX Comet. The picture hangs on the wall of my shop, the letter is in with my valuable collectibles.
    I have another story to share about the Tom Coward A/FX Comet in an upcoming post.
