  8. Stu Evans was heavily involved in drag racing into the 2000’s. They supplied all the vehicles to the IHRA and sponsored some Detroit Heavy’s...sadly the dealership was purchased, and didn’t survive the 2008 debacle...

    I had a 65 Comet just like this one, same color with a black vinyl top. Bought it brand new right off the showroom floor. Had a 289, 271hp 4 speed. Bought it at S.W. Beckers in Lorain,Oh. Drove it down to Abilene Texas, Dyes AFB.
