Alan;have been able to start on any of the Comets yet? How is the Fairlane coming along? ROY.

  3. I have bushing type of spring perch. Will try to get pics up tonight. I hope to have a set of 67 brand x 10/90 shock tomorrow. Then I can start on the bracket for them.

Roger;that is very similar to mine, the builder uses a groove cut around the center and a zerk plug where the zerk fitting is on yours,to hold it centered.Grease it up,but it together, hit the road,20+ years and no problems. ROY.

  5. Roger I used a shock bracket from a jeep, it can be bolted to the perch. Let me know if you want the part number. It was cheap, easy and strong

Hey guys great thread , been following it for years. Almost as long as ive been searching for a White on Red 2 door HT. Any of you wouldn't happen to have any leads ? Prefer a "finished' car or as close as I can get , since my Falcon isnt done yet. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Roy , this is Randall. I spoke with you on the FB thread on the Black n Red Falcon. I posted the pics of Gene Winnfeild and Linda Vaugn with my son at the Riddler awards. Any distance for the right one. As far as accessories , FE , SBF, M2, auto, 4 speed, cage or no cage, tubs, mini tubs, im pretty open as long as its done correctly.

Could someone show a picture of this assembled? Not sure how a roller perch works.

  14. When I install , I will take a pic and post.
Does anyone have a pic with their brand X shock installed? And why use that shock? I have set from a 67 craparo. It has a pin in the bottom eye, do I remove that pin and use a bolt?
    Thanks Mike.

Roger;yes, remove the pin and use a bolt! It is a little tough to get it in place, but it is not like you take it out every day! The purpose of the eye on the shock bottom is to allow free movement of the shock, you have roller perches for free movement, might as well have the shock be free to move too! If you look at how a stock shock has to overcome friction [take the top shock mount off and move the car up and down and watch the shock],!! ROY.

  16. Thanks Roy, that makes sense.

It appears to be quite solid though, best way to buy is fly there and have cash or at least that's how I would after I asked him lots of questions! Glad I'm not hunting for a car......Al
