Looks like you're gonna need to cut a hole in the floor pan to see where you're going if it keeps standing up like that,Roy!
Wish I could have seen that one!

I really like that car. Those front wheels are especially nice, I haven't seen any like those before.

There used to be a saying around the strips here that "You can't keep a good Nova down".

I think we need to change that to "You can't keep a good Comet down"

I think those are Summit Pulsars. $96 each. A member had those and blasted them and shot a coat of paint to simulate magnesium Halibrands. Turned out pretty good.

Saw a nice 64 this past weekend at a small Mattawan, MI car show. Plate said "64 Ghost". Nicely done with MT's wrapped in AR wheels. Very nice 347 tucked inside under the dual snorkel. Wonder if this is another HAMBer?

I've finally made it through this awesome thread. There are some cool ass cars in here.

Here is my 65 Cyclone that was originally my Father's right before getting stripped down for new paint. It's a 302 now but still sports tri-power and a top loader my dad put in back in 66 or 67.

It will be a couple inches longer but can take that off.....Al

  28. Actually, that's not true..... Mercury specially built a handful of '64 Comets (10 or 12, I don't recall exactly) with 271HP 289s in them for an advertising promotion. The promotion was '100,000 miles at 100 MPH', where they ran the cars in relays at an average speed of 100 MPH until the total miles was 100K. The actual run was done at Daytona raceway, and the cars all got 'D' (for Daytona) engine codes stamped on the data plates. After the run, the cars were sold to racers or returned to corporate, but a few restored examples still exist.

I've been told that the '65 BFX Comets also had a 'D' code.

Used to have a '64 Caliente hardtop, 289/4 speed/bench seat, that was a fun car....

65 comet;you can just remove the shift shaft and put a 65/66 Mustang collar[where the turn signal goes] on your column cover, that is what I did on my 65.Like Al said,a Mustang column is too long,as is the column cover. You do realize that 65 Mustangs,Falcons and Comets have a steering box-shaft that is one piece! ROY.
