Another Classic Shot of Earl Wade . This is a Police Station Holding Room in L.A. back in the Fifties. These Six Hooligans were picked up for Street Racing. All of them are 16 - 17 years old. Thats Earl Laughing in the Corner. I asked him Why, In a Sly Laugh he replied that what the other guys didnt know he was Dating the Judges Daughter and knew he would be Fine. Earl Was the Greatest

I saw this 64 at Seattle a couple weeks ago at Friday qualifying for the Northwest Nationals. I was never able to catch the owner so I don't know anything about the car. It was an FE with an auto trans. Maybe someone here knows the car? Brian

    Hey Guys,
There is going to be a Celebration service in Tezas, for Earl, this Sat, from 12 to 3.
You can find the excact info on Stacy's facebook page, which is [email protected]
Stacy is the gent who Earl was working with in Texas, and where Earl was staying.
Ken and I will be there, so pay our respects.

Sol Stewart just sent me some Fred Simmons photos of Earl Wade at the 2007 Old Drag Racers Reunion in Panama City, FL. I hope he doesn't mind if I post them here. RIP Earl.

Well I was really tired after a long day in the hot sun but if I mixed up an FE and a 385 series engine I should just shoot myself?

I still wish I could have talked to the owner a bit.

They were either Rocket's or ET's. They both look incredibly close. Last year, Rocket set me a couple set's to play with at the drags, but I've had very little time at the track since I broke the motor. This'll change real soon!!!

Brian;I believe their last name is Hilliard[spelling?].It had a 30 over 429 in it[for now] at the CHRR last year.Great group, they had issues but never quit having a good time, said they would be back this year!I hope to be at Irwindale this coming Thursday, looks like Dale will have the 'Rocket' ready to go.I missed last night as my truck blew a rear axle seal [what a mess]!!! YeeHaw!!! Back in the saddle again! I'm now scratching my head, how much lighter the new steel crank was over the old cast unit. The car 'seems' to have a snappier rev!

By the way, Roy. My bad, not next Thursday, but the following, on the 6th. Will call you! Back in action! Yeah!!!
