    Dave;there was a huge discussion on here about that same issue! The builders are adamant that it is ALL original with just a few new parts! I personally saw what was left of that car years ago,I find it very hard to believe it is not a rebody! JMO,ROY.

    Here's a 1964 Comet "cousin" I found on craigslist.

    Anyone here know about the The Termite?

    Speaking of that Wagon, Heres some shots of Eddie Shartman and the wagon at Amarillo Dragstrip in 1964.

    I have had the chance to meet and Hang out with Rick Hearn. Rick is one of the Two Thunderbolt drivers from Colorado in 64. There were just the two Thunderbolts that were sent to Colorado. Marv Youngman with a S/S 4 Speed T-Bolt sponsered by Courtesy Ford and Rick Hearn S/SA Automatic T-Bolt that Rick Bought himself. Anyway Rick gave me over 100 photos or so to scan and post. I've been over on the Thunderbolt thread the last few days. But soon I'll be all over the thread as there is a stack ranging from stockers to Fuel Cars. Go over to the Thunderbolt thread and check out some of the photos and History. starting page 158.

    These Photos were taken by Ricks mom, Rick was only 16/17 at the Time.Rick said that all the Super Stock guys loved watching Fast Eddie run. With the short wheelbase and 10 inch tires Fast Eddie was always pulling the wheels on the wagon up to ten inches sometimes. Being they were all restricted to the 7 inch tire it was awesome to see back then.

    Al;I wish you were closer! I need a teardrop molded onto my 65 twin scooped hood,the Edelbrock/Glidden intake and Dominator on my 418W are too tall to run a velocity stack or air cleaner!!!Your hood looks great,looks a lot like Ken's [mercuryjunky] hood. ROY.

    Al;
    What size rear slicks are you installing on your 64 Comet? When you were over the other day you didn't say. I like the rear inter wheel wells the way you did them. ~~~~~~~~AFX DAVE~~~~~~~~

    Al; If you look Brent's 64 AFX (Dyno Don) Comet has 14"x32"s Slicks on it. There Big on a Compacp Car. Even 31"x10.5"W are Big on a 64 Comet. I had 14"x32" on the 66 Comet and they wouldn't let use them in Nostaltia Super Stock I bought a set of 29.5"x10.5"Ws an they didn't look right on a Min Size 66 Comet then I put the 31"x10.5"W on it and it looks correct with the rear wheel opening. Al when you were over the other day you should have said something. I have a spare set of 29.5x10.5Ws you can use for mock up. ~~~~~~~~AFX DAVE~~~~~~~~

    Thanks for the offer Dave, I know they ll fit(29 Ws), not sure about the 31s without changing rim offset, then maybe not, I didnt add much width to wheelwells, although they are legal in NMCA(31s)....As soon as the car gets home I will start making it a roller again, have all but couple items and a pwr.plant to finish. I plan on adding pictures as it goes together-I'm getting itchy to say the least. I've had this car since 2007 and my closets and basement are stocked with stuff and things ready for installation....Al
