That Looks AWESOME. Good job SYL. Wish I was closer, would love to see that one up close. Love everything youve done. Stance is killer. What is the first show you are shooting for.
My father told me she was looking good (and i agree). Its come a long way since it left CT when my buddy owned it.
Pic of Roy launching his comet yesterday.
Hey, Mercuryjunky. Are you familiar with this '64? Kind of in your neck of the woods! Just wondering. Car looks to be in pretty good shape.
Havent seen that one before, Been watching it though. Real close to Eric (427 Sohc). Told him he needs to get it. Looks nice. Same color as Fast Eddies Falcon.
Good Job on posting pics of Syls Comet
Mike;Syl's Comet is looking GREAT!!! I really like the way the "Marauder"name is done!! The March Meet was fun until yeaterday afternoon when the winds came[gusts to 80MPH],then high winds and rain today!!OH WELL!!! ROY.
Here is one my dad and brother just built. It is a 66 but still cool to us. We have since put some big H&M stickers on the fenders and some more "flare"

Good looking 66 Iamflashman, Nothing like the Wimpeldon White, Keep us posted
Nice 67 also Rcodefords. How do you like that Tri power vs Dual quads on there. Is it a real R Code. Looks like a kick to drive
Found one from Mikes shots:
12.77 @105 with the little 289. Once the minor leak was fixed from the day before, it was smooth sailing. Wished the weather would have given us a break though....

A buddy of mine grabbed a video of my one and only run from Bakersfield:
There are a few GREAT pictures of Roy on bangshift.com
Dale;KOOL Video!!! That little 289 sounds great, guess the "BIG" rear gear works OK,the engine sounded like it pulled all the way.I need to figure out where the stumble at the top of third is coming from!!That had to be the craziest weather I have ever seen for the MM!!!Trip home was like driving through a 3 hour horror movie!!!! ROY.
I love the 66-67 Comets but I think we are getting side tracked here on the 64-65 Comet thread. This thread has already gotten heat from the powers that be,for getting off track, would hate to see it closed!!JMO,ROY.
They closed the stock car thread because it started getting into 70's and 80's cars. I don't think this thread would ever get to that point, but to err on the side of caution, I would tend to not let this thread run amuk.
surfin the web....
gave my 2 cents on another thread and was told 64 & older,if I didn't like it go elsewhere
The Comet Compound at Famoso:
I have been through the '64 and back on both the Historic Stock Car Photos and the Drag Cars in Motion threads. While they will let some slide from time to time they are serious about keeping the "Mid Sixties" as a cut off date as is the theme of the HAMB site. Best to keep it on topic.
Dale;KOOL pictures!! That old fat guy is getting his bald head sunburnt setting up the ezup!!!I think I need to built a hurricane proof shelter for the car!!! That trip home was like being in a three hour horror movie!!! I am amazed at all the people that stopped to look at and take pictures of our two Comets, too rare of a site!! I see why Ken has one of each[64&65]!! ROY.
