Search Jerry Harvey. It's a B/FX car (427 ).
Judd, what kind of times are you running these days.
I haven't got the set up finished or mastered the dial in yet and need to change from 4.57 to 4.30 gears But I ran 11.46 and 11.47 a week ago. I'm bad now, my 425 stroker is only a second slower than Roy's 358! LOL. The video is with the 351 still in it.
Your Falcon has a special place in my heart as it looks just like a 289 4speed 60 I had in the 70's less the strait axle, even the same color.
love your car Judd. it would be sweet to see you and Roy race eachother down the track. beautiful car either way
Judd, it looked great in the vidoe and I am bumbed hearing you are running your car in March...its a good 4 to 6 weeks before the track opens here and the the snow will be gone maybe soon I seen Roy's car in Car Craft and it looks really good and I bet that combo sound great in person.
What rims was Hayden running on his fronts? Halibrands?
Roy, I need to call you for next week. Looks like I'll be heading out Thursday up to the big show....

My freind Dave would like to know if anybody can tell us who raced Factory 1965 BFX cars in 1965 in California. His Factory 1965 BFX came from California.
Mike;you and Ken keep coming up with some great old pictures,Thanks for sharing!!!! ROY.
790 is Bill Shrewsberry's A/FX Comet. I'll have to look at the video to see who's 64 Ltwts and T-Bolt they are. 715 = Sox, 843 = Strum, 844 = Nicholson Wagon.
The 64 Ltwt Galaxies are #725 Bob Ford and the other might be Larry Pacini, hard to read the entry #, 8??. The white Thunderbolt is Bill Ireland - Oregon Ford Dealers #725. I also saw a burgundy T-Bolt behind Nicholson's wagon, might be Brannan.
gee, i remember in 1980 through approx. 1990 a friend, Paul Grabko, here in Northeast PA owned a body shop. In the back of his shop sat a '64 Thunderbolt with the lettering "Shake Rattle & Roll" on it and "Fuzzy Dice" painted on the side. The car was pretty much complete, and another friend and he even fired it up one evening. I remember the Hillborne injectors and straight front axle and A/FX written on the windows. At the time, I was a fan of mopar muscle and really thought nothing of the car.... at all. he never said much about it either, except that it was quite a vehicle in it's day. i dont know where he got it, but i do remember hearing he sold it during a divorce............... for approx. $1,500. OMG !
No shit! I wanted to buy that car when it was for sale at Fords @ Carlisle...Do You know where it has gone? I have been seaching for this car, are you sure it wasn't the 64 comet?
Mike;I talked to my buddy George who lives in Oceanside about the Comet in your post#3284.He never saw the car but said he knew the dealership,I think he said they are still in business.Four more days before I head to the March Meet, teddiesnoke and I will have probably the only Comets there, hopefully we can make a pass side by side!! I'm dying to get down the track, been since November!!!! ROY.
Mike;those pictures from Lions really show how foggy, and or,smoggy,it could get there. The track was only a few miles from the ocean and right next to the oil refinerys which back then didn't have to deal with the smog police. That is where I got the racing bug, used to live about 20 minutes away, would go as often as I could!! ROY.
Just heard Dick Lux has crashed his Super Stock Comet at the Gator Nats.......any truth to this?
57 300;yes it is true, early report was something broke in the suspension,he is OK,the Comet, not so much.A friend of his has posted a want list of 64 Comet parts, sounds like it backed into the wall!! That is one fast 289,4-speed 64 COMET,got to watch him run at the NHRA Winter Nationals a couple years back. ROY.
Thanks Roy,bad deal here for sure.Saw the car last year at the Winters.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgAaghEFduQ
That is one cool vintage shot!
Newbie type question, but what did they do to get the wheels to clear so much? I mean those look like stock arms.
havi;they used custom made tall spindles, and taller springs.Mercuryjunky has some closeups of his tall spindles on here, don't remember the post number, but it was maybe half way through this thread.havi;I scrolled through the thread,go to page 71,post #1401. ROY.
