I haven't got the set up finished or mastered the dial in yet and need to change from 4.57 to 4.30 gears But I ran 11.46 and 11.47 a week ago. I'm bad now, my 425 stroker is only a second slower than Roy's 358! LOL. The video is with the 351 still in it.
Your Falcon has a special place in my heart as it looks just like a 289 4speed 60 I had in the 70's less the strait axle, even the same color.

Judd, it looked great in the vidoe and I am bumbed hearing you are running your car in March...its a good 4 to 6 weeks before the track opens here and the the snow will be gone maybe soon :( I seen Roy's car in Car Craft and it looks really good and I bet that combo sound great in person.

    790 is Bill Shrewsberry's A/FX Comet. I'll have to look at the video to see who's 64 Ltwts and T-Bolt they are. 715 = Sox, 843 = Strum, 844 = Nicholson Wagon.

The 64 Ltwt Galaxies are #725 Bob Ford and the other might be Larry Pacini, hard to read the entry #, 8??. The white Thunderbolt is Bill Ireland - Oregon Ford Dealers #725. I also saw a burgundy T-Bolt behind Nicholson's wagon, might be Brannan.

    Regards,
    Dennis

gee, i remember in 1980 through approx. 1990 a friend, Paul Grabko, here in Northeast PA owned a body shop. In the back of his shop sat a '64 Thunderbolt with the lettering "Shake Rattle & Roll" on it and "Fuzzy Dice" painted on the side. The car was pretty much complete, and another friend and he even fired it up one evening. I remember the Hillborne injectors and straight front axle and A/FX written on the windows. At the time, I was a fan of mopar muscle and really thought nothing of the car.... at all. he never said much about it either, except that it was quite a vehicle in it's day. i dont know where he got it, but i do remember hearing he sold it during a divorce............... for approx. $1,500. OMG !

Mike;those pictures from Lions really show how foggy, and or,smoggy,it could get there. The track was only a few miles from the ocean and right next to the oil refinerys which back then didn't have to deal with the smog police. That is where I got the racing bug, used to live about 20 minutes away, would go as often as I could!! ROY.

  25. Just heard Dick Lux has crashed his Super Stock Comet at the Gator Nats.......any truth to this?

That is one fast 289,4-speed 64 COMET,got to watch him run at the NHRA Winter Nationals a couple years back. ROY.

Newbie type question, but what did they do to get the wheels to clear so much? I mean those look like stock arms.
