Sweet looking car. Lovin' the black and gold color. Can't wait to see it finished.
Man you made massive progress in a short time! Can't wait to see it run!
Wow that is one great looking falcon and with that power plant it's going to fly.
trans back in with bronze pilot
lexan in the car after a late night
throttle linkage made and on the car
putting trim on
crap shot of interior but I was too tired to open the door I think
kill switch is in filler neck location
Charlie tyre started lettering
love my light bulb in the ford logo. was one of the few things I wanted from the get go
lettered but still plenty of small problems to fix. notice towel from water leak
finally got to test today. ended up needing a different rear gear, shifter replaced and junk jegs line lock only worked for one burnout. car still did decent but never got to make a decent full pass. new gear is 3/4 set up, line lock is replaced, and have a shifter ready to go in. tallied my hours up. 415 hrs in 10 weeks while working a regular job as well. car was finished on a very low budget
very very very big thanks to quain stott. Without him none of this would be possible. allowed me to use his shop when needed, shared his knowledge throughout and turned some wrenches on it as well
Wow if it goes as fast as it looks it will be a runner.
Man that thing is beautiful! You gotta be on cloud 9
What line lock did you switch to ? I put in a Jegs one also. It was $30 on sale - guess we know why now.
Tony we have thrown 2 of those things in the trash in the last few weeks.
Your a hard working man with a great mentor in Quain. Job well done!
The car looks outstanding! Great job, to all involved.
I switched to a hurst line lock that I have had for a while, I will be calling jegs about theirs this week. It only worked for one burnout and that was after we had fixed it not working before it was ever used.
The Southeast gasser race at greer tomorrow has been moved to next Saturday if anyone was planning on coming
If anyone is free this Saturday may the 2 come check out the southeast gassers in greer sc. Over 20 period correct cars already pre entered. Got the line lock fixed on the falcon, a new shifter installed, the brakes bled again, valves adjusted, wheels polished, and car waxed. I can't wait
Wow Looks great!
The Hurst line lock works! It can stand any amount of brake line pressure and STILL release clean--the others just can't stand much line pressure or they fail to release--Hurst is the only one to get period!
Been through that a half dozen times--
Man ..... the car turned out GREAT !!!!!!!! Makes sure and makes us a video of it running too !
Sonic, been following the build, the Falcon is friggin awesome, Great job, we all expect some pics from Greer this weekend. Outstanding....
thanks for all the kind words. Ill try to post up some pics from tomorrow as well as a couple gopro videos from in car
if anyone got any pics or vids of the car today post them up. I was so busy I forgot to get any. Car did ok for being brand new. ended up twisting off the input shaft on the toploader. Looks like its time for an upgrade
The car looks good! Hate to hear you had trouble, might be time for a trip to see Johnny Hightower. Thanks for all the posts and pics.
it'll prob have a hightower in it before the next outing if I can scrape up enough cash
Gaberal - great meeting you today man! The Falcon is a thing of beauty and quick too! Just got home and started to pick through all the photos my wife took. You know if you weren't so big you could shave off some ET
That's Seadog walking by
I took some pics and posted them on my thread here is a link.
thanks for the pictures guys
