I'm going to go look at one with a buddy tomorrow.

How do I tell what engine it has? He says it's a "big V8", but does not know the displacement. It's also a 3 speed stick.

    I don't know much about them, but would assume it has a 352, a 390, or (if he's really lucky) a 406.

If anyone has any advice on this, or anything else I should be looking for on this car, please speak up. Any good galaxy related sites w/ specs? All input is appreciated.

And if anyone has any cool pics to share, that would be cool too.

Look at the VIN # -- this site will tell you what it originally had in it:

Externally, I don't know how to tell the difference between a 352, 390, or 406. You could almost assume it is not a 406 - they are very rare. Still possible, though. If it is original, I think the 352s were most common that year - 2 or 4 barrel.

    Hope this helps you!

  3. The 390 was pretty common in the 62 Fords,,,HRP

here was my 390, but they all look the same...
VIN checking is the only way, and even then you don't know if it's orig engine, don't know where the block #s are, sorry.
