Hey Y'all, Have a perplexation. I re-wired my 62 Chrysler Newport (why? because it caught fire). Now the gages in the dash ( bubble/astrodome cluster) are all pegged. I would assume that they are getting to much voltage, but not sure what the voltage should be. I tried putting a 12 to 6 volt drop online but then the gages dont work at all.. Anyone already solved this? If so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -LarryG
Yea... but I don't remember. Chrysler has a resistor built into the back of the instrument cluster........found a chart which says it knocks it down to 9 volts. http://www.atlaschrys.com/Late/Electrical/Guage_Voltage_Limiters.pdf
