62-65 Superstock Mopars picture thread..

I just got a 65 satellite in a trade, I will have to get a proper hood scoop (hemi or max wedge) and some more era-specific wheels (maybe Cragars SS)
Its running a voretc superchargered 383, while it isnt era-specific its a lot of fun (mid 11's)

 

Great thread.

Over the last several years there have been guys building AWB cars but i'd like to know if there is anyone willing to build a 2% chassis. Maybe this could be the next 'thing to do.'

Just wondering.

BTW, does anyone have anymore pics of Doug Kahl's '62 Plymouth? 1965 NHRA World Points Champ.

Here is my 1964 Dodge 330 super stock tribute. It's have a 528 wedge, roller mechanical cam, two 800 edelbrock, ported indy heads with stock crossram intake and max wedge exhoust manifolds.

The race pictures was taken before the engine upgrades. Hope my friend in the 64 galaxie will see my rear next time.

Here is my 65' Hemi Coronet.

 

My 1964 Dodge Polara 500 383 4 speed

 

We just put a 65 Dodge Lite Weight on display at the America on Wheels Museum in Allentown Pa. 425 hp , 426 Hemi. Aluminum hood, trunk, fenders and drs. I think its one of 127 made, plus 12 other muscle cars including 2 70 Road Runners with Hemis. I'll get pictures next time I go in.

 

Very Cool, Jeff. I was hoping to build one of those along with my Dart so I could have my own traveling match race circuit. Do it like Sullivans, or Sox and MArtins, and we can have some fun matchin' them!

The 1st 2 are not superstockers but I think they fit in with the scheme of things. IMO, '62-'65 Mopar B-Bodies are the best looking cars ever made.

New to the thread.Die Hard Ford/Mercury guy.Have to say always admired the 62-65 Mopars.If it wasnt for the Mopars pushing the envelope some of the coolest Fords and Mercurys may have never been.

If I wasnt already going Bankrupt building Mercury stuff I would be building a Super stock Mopar.Trying to figure out which model I would build.Plymouth appeals to me,Its a lot like the mercury line.It would be a toss up between the 63 and the 65 Plymouth first.But I really like that 63 Dodge followed by the 64 Plymouth and 64 Dodge.That black 65 Dodge posted earlier is just plain Bad Ass.Not to mention the 62 models are Wild looking when done.Throw in some Altered wheelbase action,WHOA.Its a good thing I didnt start with a Mopar Id be Flat broke.Id have to have at least four cars.

Question for the experts... is this 1:18 scale version fairly close, to how the real cars were? I'm just asking.

 

Yeah,pretty close,my only beefs really are the tail lights and valve covers but I'm picky
