Projects 61 Ford unibody build

    This is the drivers side I did befor I started the build thread the plan was to make the cab floor solid on both sides befor I cut on the frame ect but I ended up getting the drivers side done and just the steps and front floor board so it was solid on the pasangers side need to finish it up now just hate rust repair lol.the pic sucks because its with my phone and its dark on that side of the truck so I used the flash.

    Originally I was gona put a ididit straight blinker only column in but found a great deal on a tilt ss flaming river so could not passit up.Through it in to see what I was workin with.Column drop and floor mount on the way.

    I put the hood on the ole girl got tired of looking at it with the hood off lol.i need to get out there and get some rust repair done it has snowed 20 inches in 4 days here sucks but is not much of a motivater.

    Talked my self in to doing a bit of rust dent repair used 16 gauge on the bed as it looks like that is what they used from the factory 18 gauge is what I would use normaly.Still need to hammer dolly it out a bit to match the back section still need to grind down the front fender patch more and the door needs quite a bit of work still I HATE rust.

    Got the ididit floor mount and Mr Roadster column drop.Need to weld up the hole in the floor cut new hole and make a mount for the column drop.After a bout 19 years of welding on and off I some how managed to flash my right eye enough to give my self flash burn no idea how I did it but after it goes away gona get started on it.

    Well I ended up having metal in my eye had it taken out this am.With my one good eye I did end up getting my blue dots done lol.Dremal with a small sanding drum took like 10 min.Big progress I know.Should get back to the rust repair by next week.

    Got my seat back from my great uncle Bob Sipes I asked for plain bright white with sea foam piping.

    looking great, dig those Uni's...post pic's when you put the C4 in with the loker...I'm going to be doing the same in a 46 coupe

    Ordered up some steering parts and some Mooneyes dash knobs had to cut off the original push pull knobs with a cutoff wheel and drill out the moon knobs nothing is easy lol.

    Doing my '62 uni with an industrial Chassis Dakota kit, triangulated 4 bar and a 430 Lincoln. No "laying frame", just lowered nicely for a good driver without all the drama.

    Thanks guys just picked up a 69 c4 trans new flywheel converter mini starter headers chrome water pump oil pan ect so no excuses now time to get the motor mounted up so I can get it rebuilt.

    Painted the center of my Vintiques Ford Oxford white they were raw and starting to get surface rust.and scrubbed the blue off the pinners.

    Got the steering / clutch hole welded up.And the steering shaft mocked up.
