Hey Matt !,.. Looking forward to seeing you and your Dad at the "Circle of Champions" Brunch on Saturday !!

  6. Did any of you that were there get a shot of the off topic Mercedes 500K that was supposedly customized or got an updated drivetrain? I had heard it may be at the show and I would love to see it. A friend in Michigan owned it and I am looking for a photo of it.

    Thanks Dennis,
My arthritis keeps me from being able to walk very far, or stand very long, so I'm not able to see it down there in person. My friend, Dan, is showing it for me. I truly appreciate your photos. Being there after hours has to be the best time. Say hello to my best friend, Al Bergler, at Saturday's brunch......Thanks again, Mike Farris

Thanks Paul. Chuck Miller put on a disolay this year called Cowboy Cadillacs, a group of El Caminos and Rancheros, and called me to show mine.My friend, Teddy Z recommended it to Chuck. Teddy is Bill Hine's nephew. Since I can't walk very well, one of my buddies took it down and is taking care of it. It's not entered in competition, just a favor to Chuck, as he does a specialty section each year at Autorama such as Roth cars, well known customs of the 50's and other cool displays........Thanks again and thanks for your kind pm's.

This is pretty cool. I've already seen several pictures of that bare metal shoebox and I love it!

Can't wait to see all the coverage threads pop up.

So sorry Larry,... When I got out of the "Circle of Champions Brunch",.. My pal Clyde and I had been up for 22 hours, I just got home, and got this message,.... The Transmission on my daily gave up the ghost down there, and My Son and Father in law came down with my truck & trailer to rescue me..... All in all I still had a really grate time.....

Not to hijack...especially with OT car, but....polishing baresteel to chrome-like finish is possible.
My buddy had HOURS and HOURS polishing this bug.

Back to Detroit coverage. Thanks for the pics for us that couldnt make it.
