when I worked at the library in school they had a 1970's van mods book (one of those peterson style "bunch of mag articals books")

showed how to make fender flares from conduit and LOTS of bondo. install shag carpet, install an ice box, make visors, install porthole windows, the list goes on....

my dad had one before I was born (early 1970's with a patch work paintjob on it along with the 750 hondas)

Those astro vans can be pretty easily body modded to look alot like an older van. So is going to start repo'ing classic van bodies? Year One van?

  12. I had a 90" 1966 Chevy van in 1980 and have been thinking about getting another one for a couple of years, well this is my new summer daily. I'll be picking it up in a couple of weeks.

I sold the HEMI to a friend in Rochester NY and the van went to Jamestown NY for awhile and then was floating around Ohio for many years.
it was on ebay late last year. here are some of the last pics of it that I found. Ron...

My buddy was thinking of doing a 70s custom van, even bought a 76 Dodge. Now he's got a 58 Edsel to play with so the van is up for sale.

Lookit, if you're gonna go from point A to point B you might as well have fun along the way, and nothing says FUN like a large vehicle full of poon, drugs, shag pile carpeting, wooden lamps and muriels.

-In today's paper is a 1963 Econoline with a Mustang straight 6, shag carpeting, and mags. Non-running, but complete with extra parts... $1,400. Damn, if my wife wouldn't divorce me...it would be mine. :)
