Great thread, it reminds me of childhood, and watching CHiPs episodes on tv. They always had kustom vans on CHiPs!

I love your Econoline Jason. Have you fitted the flares yet? What happened to your black Dodge?

I got the song "Convoy" on my I-Pod, along with the song "Chevy Van" by Sammy Johns. Brings back memories of the '70's and cruising in my '66 GMC Van...

My 2nd job was working for Martin Industries in Santa Fe Springs,Ca.
We made the van sunroofs, van portholes and windows for the So Cal Van Craze in the 80's.
Way cool to see the vans making a comeback.

727 posts and not one lumber yard bumper to be seen. What gives, I know I seen them back in the day.

Yep, only things left are the side pipes, murals and interior. 2nd pic is before the 2" lift.

I haven't gone to the chrome shop with my bumpers yet. If the price once they see them is :eek::eek:, I am considering going that way.

That sucks that nobody saved this thing. It is VERY possible that a few of the younger HAMBer's were conceived inside that majestic love palace.

Mine should be making a come back this spring.

It's a 69 GMC Handivan. Nothing too special, but it's a fun old beater with a 350 between the seats. Just needs some electrical issues sorted out at the moment.

Withe the Mopars the cheapest easiest way is to put the axles on top of the springs. Getting rid of the antique wheels would help a bunch too.

Those wheels are f@#@$n awesome on that. Drop axle, Reverse eye springs is the easiest way (bolt on).

The wheels are neat but those wheels and the word lower don't go together. Go down on them and they will hit bottom
