  1. The old t's are the best, the others look like cartoon's.

I remember that car well. It was featured in at least 2 magazines, was on the cover of at least one. Yes, R&C and SR IIRC. The cowl was real low, the body angled up to a near normal height at the rear. Unusual front axle, like a straight axle that used ball joints to carry IFS spindles. Red paint. Shown in a fast food drive in lane.

If those mags would show all their covers like HRM does, we could find it.

I thought it was Porsche powered?

  6. Don Kendall's? --> Personally, I'd like to see more pics of his low-slung, MoPar-powered T-bucket. How 'bout it, anyone?

99% sure that's the car. Looks pretty much like it did in the mag feature, except seems like it had some crazy - wide Skylark wires on it with Firestone indy tires. Or maybe I got details from two or more different cars mixed together, probably been 25+ years.

Anybody seen the car recently, or know where it is now?

Yep, that's it. I'd LOVE to go for a ride in that. Where is it now?

Looks like No-par power. I'm guessing Corvair. I would like to see some closeups, details, more info. please.

Relax, brother. The Kendall car was built sometime in the '65 - to - 1970ish time frame, so it does sorta qualify as a 60's car even if it ain't got the late 50's / early 60's look you're after.

It doesn't look like an Andy's Instant T car, doesn't look like the Kookie or Ivo cars, doesn't really look like anything else from that era either. It is or was a unique, homebuilt rig from way back when and that's why I thought I'd bring it up.

Now let's get the pics flowing again.

That car has been discussed before. I was out of the Chicago area. The last time I saw it was in Detroit NSRA show and it was yellow.

I definitely have a roll bar in the works for my own T in the near future. I have also been trying to find a bed for it and some other things. Right now I am having the wheels & tires mounted so be on the look out for The Hussy's new look.

More pics of the Don Kendall car in Tex Smith's Nov 1973 Rod Action --

not affiliated, but there's one on eBay (I have mine)

The motor is right side up, with no fan or shrouds -- the Corvair transaxle is "flipped" though to give multiple forward gears.
