Hey Mark.........heres your TRENDERO on the back cover of this book
I love that book, checked it out from the school library in Jr high a couple of million times!
I checked it out my freshman year (1971),wonder what the book fines are up to now
Isn't that the Little Deuce Coupe in the background?
Yep, and that pillar looks like Cobo Hall.
I have this book too, it's awesome.
also looks like the 56 ford built by the Alexander brothers "Victorian" ?
now thats cool.........did it really run?
I have to say that this is one of the nicer modern bubble tops I've seen.
There have been quite a few in the past few years.
I was a kid in the 60's during the bubble top show rod thing and it was super cool back then, especially to a grade school kid!
Like I said before the Mysterion takes the cake for me. I don't care if the frame did fall apart. The new copy that was built fixed that problem. Does anyone know who bought that Mysterion copy at the Peterson auction just recently??
Coolest car on the planet !!!!
Can this thread be revived? Any new bubbletop pics surface over the last 10 months???
I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!!

If that's the cobo hall then that is probably the year the ROTAR threw a propeller and injured a spectator.

I bought this the other day, being picked up tomorrow and will be here on monday!!!
revell had this built to promote their line of deal wheels models...runs and drives
That is unreal.........damn ..........I want to see more. Congrats on your find.
I have come to the conclusion that if I am ever gonna complete all the car build ideas I have rattling around in my head, I need to win the lotto, and lock myself in the shop for the rest of my life to get them finished.
I'd never seen that car, What's the engine in it? How many cars does that bring you up to now?
Who built that, Arlen Ness?
it was built by Ron Ebert of california cycle works
Mark is that the one that looks like Pac-Man?
yes it does currently look like pac man. I am going to restore it this winter
That's sad. And I was a teenager in the 80s.
That cycle is definately in the right hands. Thank you Mark and you've got it made.
I think this one was at The Invasion in Dallas last sept?
