I believe that the #17 Coupe in post 6718 is Ronnie Theil, I seem to remember he had an independent suspension clipped onto his dirt car and ran the All Star 300 at Islip

  15. Went to Darlington Yesterday. Well organized event. If ya' like race cars, it's a must do event.

Here's some pics of the modifieds on hand.

That black #17 set the pace. He was fast. I think they had him on the gun at 145+mph in an early session. Probably broke 150.

I was impressed with the large variety and different quality of cars.

Went to Jean Guy's place last week and got a chance to take a peek & a pic of his 1/6 replica of the Hemi Cuda he's been working on the last 2 years. Its almost complete , he received the decals last week , its gonna be a looker like the real one .

There was someone rebuilding the Sixty Nine a few years ago in the Montreal area, any news on that project?

The Hemi Cuda can be seen on www.midstateantiquestockcarclub.com
click on event reports and Craigs motorsports show.It belongs to Eric Leeson who's had it for sixteen years and I'm going to have the honor to
paint it for him.He bought it in Lafargeville.

Harold! Great to hear from you! I was going to call you, in fact I will right now.

  23. I talked with the owner, Larry for quite awhile.

I saw the "Retro Rides by Rich" sticker on the car and asked about ya'.

That was a fine lookin' race car. A wide Troyer that he rebodied with a real Gremlin body. Told me the body was hanging in someones garage!

Can ran great. Has a NASCAR Tour legal engine in it.

Said it was painted Richie Evans orange.

I have a Troyer with a Hutter engine in my shop (see pics). I pulled off the Cavalier body and installed a '37 Chevy coach. I might have to reconsider what i did.

I'll have to have something at Darlinton next year.

    Thats Cool !

Allen Clark told me he had seen the car last week at Graigs show , nice to see it , funny how both projects look a like in they're respective stages.
Allen's doing great work on restoring his dad's Al car too ...
Yves , i got to see both of you're cars this summer at St-Croix , great work !

AWESOME...I'm very happy that you have benefited from this thread. That's exactly why I created it. I wasn't sure it would go over real well her on the HAMB...but I sure guess it has. Seems like one of the most popular threads.

Hello all. I'm new here so please be patient. I type slow & all. I think you are missing 1 car in the fulton line up on thread page 228. If you look through Dave Nichols windows you will see another car. A glint of orange & another tire just ahead of his right front tire I beleive this car is in fact Dick Clark & Bernie Miller is driving Dick Clarks coupe. On 1 occassion Bernie was going to drive Dicks coach & Dick was going to drive the coupe which was brand new but Dick had a problem w/the throttle on the coupe & they switched cars. I beleive this picture is that occassion. But I could be wrong.
