  1. HMMM! yes, tedious work, seems to take forever but you are doing a great job. They look awesome.

Thanks Vtwhead. I haven't decided if I'm going to close up the small 1/4" holes, or leave them open as is...

I was asked not to make bunches of noise grinding and running compressor today, so switched over to tinkering with the motor. [IMG]

Folks who don't build cars like these don't understand how much time it takes to do a good job on these oddball parts of the build. ;)

Got off the road for a few days, and am back in garage working on chassis. Removed the motor mounts on front member, and am cleaning it up, but have been chasing cracks across the top where original u-bolts sat. Thinking I might rob the piece out of another, and splice it in

I know you're tired of seeing the cross member, but it was a bunch more work than I thought it would be... cleaning up last few blemishes and should be ready to tack up

Been busy with work, and building my daughter a bed, but did some wheeling and dealing with my dad, and have scored the quintessential front centerpiece: a '49-52 Bell dropped axle. It has been on his model A, (see avatar) for 30 years... he's ready for a change, so I'm doing some trading with him.. I have to do all the swapping out, but should have it in hand after July 4th weekend

Messed around and got an infection in my finger off a small cut few weeks back... doc put me on IV antibiotics for 8 weeks... has slowed me down, trying not to sweat the bandage off pic line in my arm...

Still been slipping out to garage a little, and finally got rear member finished...[IMG][IMG]

Guys, I'm in need of a blower manifold for the cadillac motor... if anyone knows of one for sale, please chime in

I rigged up a platform from the original chassis that I cut up 20 years ago... leveled it in jig, and welded cross braces, to have something to bolt the body to so it can be stable during re-chop[IMG]

This is going to be great! I fully support your decision to re-chop this body! Take lots of photos!
