    <hr style="color:#666666; background-color:#666666" size="1"> I am looking to swap out my bad FMX in my 59 with a 5speed, I found a 1988 F150 6 cyl with a 5 speed and rearend for $400.00. I figured it's got the tranny I need and the diff as well.

Question is will the M5OD 5 speed that's in there bolted to the 6 banger, bolt up to my '85 302 roller.

Also will the flexplate be useable or would I need to use the one from the auto??

    Thanks guys

I f I understand you correctly, you can't use a flex plate from an auto trans with a standard trans. You need a flywheel and clutch. Hope this helps.

sbf and straight 6 are same bolt pattern. seems like there was some difference in flywheels but maybe thats just my mind mixing things up.

but yes they do physiclly bolt together.
