He is actully column shifting the car, running Drag Week 2009, which means he is driving it to hell and back between tracks. Jay Brown, the owner is leading his class going in today. Good luck Jay. Heres some pics of the car:

I think he is racing a Pontiac G8. For a new car they run pretty good, like high 13's stock.

I love the angle these cars were shot at. They appear to maintain their positioning against each other only the Galaxie is getting smaller and smaller.....OH, and making fantastic music!

Not to steal your post..but one of the fastest street cars I ever rode in was a 61 Ford Starliner that this guy installed a hopped up 460,toploader,9" 4.56's..it amazes me how a large vehicle like these full size Fords can get down the 1/4 mile in a hurry like they do.

That's great! I've been following his progress reports on the FE Forum this week. Long live the FE and Jay Brown!

Not sure but I think it's an 08 Pontiac G8, in the GT version its a 360hp rear wheel drive domestic.

I love the different sound levels during the burn out. Those SOHC's are loud as hell! MORE MORE I need more!

nothing sounds better than an FE Ford, unless its an FE Ford on Nitro.....

  21. What a glorious sound! I've heard a T/F Cammer(on the good "pop") and that's one of the few things I've heard better than that Galaxie.

I saw them in action at Muncie yesterday. Very impressive. I was very pleased to see them win their class. Great to see a true/blue hotrod win.

  25. That car is an aussie holden rebadged as a pontiac for sale in the states they are a plenty quick street car now discontinued inthe us but not here.

Gads, Now I feel pretty out shined on my project! Jay built a wild ride there, and I am glad to see a heavy girl move that fast.

    Nice work, Jay!!

    amen brother!

Not particularly any manufacturer favored but I love that "cammer". What a work of art and to see them in their correct habitat. Pure bliss!

With all the aftermarket cammer shit on the market, I'll bet there is a lot more to be seen.
