58 GMC Truck...I Love It

For the past couple of years I wish sometime I would get rid of my 68 Chevelle SS427 clone and get this.

I like patina fake or not, but that truck is sold.

 

I was all jazzed to see a 58 GMC!!! WTF? All I got was a Chebbie with a nice ass!

I mean that's not a 58 GMC... I doesn't have a Pontiac v8, it doesn't have correct fenders/ headlights, or Grill, it doesn't even have the right hood! Its a chevy with a GMC bed and badges. Nice Chevy though. I was just hoping to see a 58 GMC like the title said...

 

That's definitely a GMC. Correct grill and fenders/lights/hood. Hell the bumper w/ bullets (which is extremely rare for 58/59) is even correct. The dash is a dead give away to the fact it's a GMC. Not a pontiac mill, but that was usually the first thing to go. It even has the GMC hood bird.

 

I like it OK, but would have liked it more if the paint was shiny black to match the interior. I understand original patina, but not so much the fake....

Why on earth would someone put that crappy paint job on a nice truck body like that?

I got carried away and confused the next video that popped up which was titled "58 GMC Completed" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prrNKo8F7Zw and I guess I just carried that upset back here so in the words of Emily Litella "Never Mind"...
