Thanks to our friend Curious Rash (Rashy), we have changed the look of Mrs. Povertyflats' car. He sold us some cool NOS Appliance chrome reverse wheels and I got lucky and found some very hard to find Goodyear 14 inch radial tires with whitewalls. Have some chrome spider center caps on order from Vaphead (Eric) which will finish them off nicely. Here is the before and after photos.
yep, nice improvement. Those other wheels just don't get it on a 57. I had them on a 4 door once because I got the set tires and all for $100. Never liked them. Glad they're long gone.
Huge improvement!! Looks way better. The other wheels belong on a high school kids mid 80's Camaro (if a high school kid nowadays would even want a Camaro). Well done.
Thanks Malcolm, your new wheels are what inspired me. And I still prefer wide whites and fender skirts but all in due time. Cruise night starts next Thursday for us. It's good to have an old car.
That looks a whole lot better You sure know how to rub it in about having an old car. I don't think I'll ever get my car together. Ha Ha!
