I have a 34 chevy truck frame, If I use a 57 chevy 235/3spd tranny and a stock 57 rear would I need to beef up the frame. Someone put Juice brakes on the frame already with the stock axle. Should I box the frame or x member. Would the frame be strong enough left alone?

you are replacing the stock drivetrain with one that's almost identical in size/weight, and which only has a little bit more power. No need to change anything on the frame, that I can see.

a guy in town put a 235/3spd/56 car rearend in his 31 chevy car and left the frame alone, it works fine. He added later juice brakes and steering from a 50s truck.
