She is kinda a 10fter. I've been slowly working on a lot of the half-ass craftsman ship. The wiring was a disaster. Found a small half dollar size hole in the cab corner covered with electrical tape and painted over:eek: Picking up some steelies today and hoping to get her -6" front and back soon. I really dig novatattoo's truck's stance

This thread proves that there are so many different ways to go with with '57-'60 body style... I really dig these trucks!

Toadfrog's truck on page 7 is great! I hope mine comes along as nice as his. I still need to use my truck for work and getting things, so I'm not dropping and chopping it. For a straight up daily driver, I'd be in heaven if mine ended up like his! Nice job!

Wow! that quite a bob. Whats the wheel base on your truck 110" or 118"
How does it handle. Im looking to take off only 6" to 12"s I want to keep the geometrical aesthetic.

It's the 110" wb shortbed. It had a foot trimmed off the back.
It was done pretty well, too. It also has a 63 Mercury 390 "Super Marauder"

  14. Wow, in that pic I first thought it was an International Scout. What all do you plan to do to it?

Well, since someone else brought this thread back to life, I guess I'll post some pics of mine.

I drove the piss out of it for a while, then wrecked it in 2004. Put it back together, used it to move and tore it back apart. I'm now in the process of dropping in a 351W/T-5 combo, and trying to figure out what color I'm gonna paint it.

It's funny you said that, it kind of reminds me of an early Bronco with a pick-up cab roof.

When I started looking for one of these my plan was a low cruiser.

But with the odd look of this one, that I couldn't pass up, it's going to be getting a bit of a gasser look- I have 2 cragar chrome spokes with redlines from a GTO I sold and found some really old 15x8 reversed steel wheels for the rear. The front had been raised about an inch so I'll drop the rear to get the nose up.

Just incase I ever change my mind, I found a "regular" short bed '60 pick up bed trailer on Craigslist for $150.

Oops, nevermind I was looking at the taillights thread and coincidently saw your truck posted in there, I would of never guess late 50's MOPAR honestly, but you also have a side profile shot on there that gives me a better idea of what they are.

Those are some cool trucks guys. Sometimes I wish I would of gone with the late 50s truck...57s are one of my more favorite...I ended up with a 65. still cool. but not as classic.

Well, I got rid of the lame American Racing rims today. Picked up a pair of skinny whites walls that will suffice for now while I get ready to paint up a set of wide whites. The moon caps are also a temp while I clean up and paint a set of steelies. Next is ordering up some mono springs for the front and flipping the rear..

Sorry for the poor quality pic. im at work so i took it on a cell phone

the previous owner swapped the springs from the top of the axle to the bottom similar to this http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=153730 but they didn't raise the steering or notch the back frame i need to raise the steering due to bump steer issues and will notch the frame when i replace the bed floor it doesn't bottom out unless you hit a big bump or put a lot of weight in it but the bed floor cant hold a lot of weight know it looks like swiss cheese
