It's finally in the paint booth.Everything the pro shop supposedly did was redone. Thanks to my buddy Greg Klopp.I can wait to see it Tuesday night. It's starting to look like a car again.

  4. Here's my first car which I still have. It was onyx black and india ivory stock...Then I painted it 89' Corvette silver and grey, like a 150 tu-tone.

This was a little over 20 years ago....

Just got back from looking at it.It looks great.I'm more than happy with the way it turned out.The doors and fenders go next week. The hood will wait until I have the engine in and the front end hung.I have to cut it for the blower scoop.

Doors are hung.I still have to put the strikers and latches back on.Everything looks great.Still haven't decided on the engine.I have a 383 ready to be assembled and a 406 in my s10.It's definitely one of the 2 with an m-22 behind it.4.88 gears are already in place as is the 3" exhaust,no flow masters, I used 3" glasspacs.

didn't post anything on this for awhile, but I finally got to spend the afternoon working on it.I picked up the engine yesterday and just it in so I could put a trans crossmember in it and eliminate the stock bellhousing mounts.Everything is just sitting in to make sure everything is going to fit.
The engine is a 383 with a comp cams .555/.575 solid cam.A set of worked 283 power pac heads with 2.02 valves.Roller rockers.2 450 holleys on an edelbrock tunnel ram.I can't wait to hear it.I have 3 inch exhaust with little short glass packs.(It sounded great when I had the 355 in it)

The trans is an muncie m22.The rear is a ten bolt posi from a 67 442.4:88 gears.

It's been 3 years since I ripped it apart.I'm hoping it will be road worthy in a couple of months.I'd like to take it to the Jalopy Drags in October.

Here's some pics with the engine setting in.

that tunnel ram with the spacers looks funny in my opinion. Should be a dog on the bottom end too, which is where 383s like to be.

    other than that, nice car!

Thanks for the compliments. (I guess). The car is going to be driven.I think the 383 will do fine.I never heard anyone complain about a good 383.The 4.88's get the rpms up so it should be fine.My wifes gonna drive it so I'm not worried about it being a dog on the bottom end.I'm sure it will do what it's suppose to.

Looking good. I've had a lot of streetrods and tri5's but the most fun I'm having is with my Impala wagon. Wagons Rule!

I had to use the spacers to use the blower scoop. If I wouldn't have used them I would have had to cut the back out of the hood leaving it flimsy. They are only 2".Everyones entitled to their own opinion.I just want to finish it.It's been on the back burner too long.

Looks good ive got one just like it for my 61 bel air from my experience it probably would do better without the spacers but why not just build some for the scoop to the carbs, that would still accomplish what you are trying to do..just my2 cents....nice car....
