Though I posted the near-completed truck before, not only has it gotten much closer to being "done", but I was able to talk Mrs E-tek into doing some photo's in the shop. Mrs E used to model lots of stuff and I had been promising the guys over at GJ more recent pics....Mrs E finally agreed - so long as I promised I would only post them on sites where the guys where "Gentlemen".... For more, you can check out my blog and website (links below)..... Still adding details.....
i like that truck!! and the mrs. has pretty toes..lol and brother have you lost your mind? get her off that car!!!!!!!!!!! ive been doing this kinda work for around 40 yrs and i dont think ive ever finished one of my own.
Thanks - and thanks for that clarification - you're the first to do so! We have it running, but there's a fuel-feed issue. Runs great so long as I'm pouring gas in the carb....have the tank 1/2 full, checked the pickup, cleared the lines, changed the pump, pulled off the filter, sucked fuel to the top (no problem), but it just won't get to the carb on engine power! Tomorrow I'll change the line from the pump to the carb - it's all that's left....maybe the smaller line and filter are too much for the 3psi fuel pump? edit - turns out the rubber elbow was kinked! Always something simple once you find it....
Truck won 1st Place at the big Draggins Custom Car and Rod Show! Owners were thrilled. Next day - washing the mill for my next build!
Great shots and you've got a beautiful wife, and hopefully she digs your hobby! Is that color the same as the cars of that year? Tropical Turquoise?
Indeed - and the trucks original color. Owner (and kids) are showing and driving it whenever they can!
