56 chevy 265

Anybody out there driving a 56 chevy w/265 V8. If so what drivetrain. Carb, Trans. Thank's JT

 

I gave the car to my son when he went into the Air Force many years ago - but I built a '56 Bel Air hardtop, 265 bored to accept stock 283 pistons, if I remember right I had an old rebuilt Quadrajet on it, 3-speed with overdrive that I found at a wrecking yard, and a 4:11 rear end.

It was one of the quickest cars around the area where we lived at the time. He sold it somewhere along the way - I wish I had it back!

 

I have a 1956 Belair 2 door hard top. It has the original 265 4 barrel power pack.
