    Hey all
I recently acquired a '56 210 4 door, from the original owner, running 265 with a powerglide. This will be my first pre 1960 car, and I know being a 4 door it's not that cool. I will post photos of it as soon as I get it home, I know how you guys are about a thread with no photos.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has any photos of cool 4 door '56 for inspiration on what route to go with mine. Thanks!

Since you're asking for advice: don't try to make it something that it isn't! Keep it close to original, give it nice paint, wheels, and tires and drive (and enjoy) the heck out of it. No flames, no trying to disguise it as a 2-door, just good honest fun.

I would love to find a '55 or '56 Chevy 4-door in good condition for cheap to use as a family hauler!

Yeah that's my plan, just a tasteful old 4 door to bum around in, I think it'll be a good starting point/ introduction to pre 60s stuff for me. I've always been around it just haven't owned any

Completely out of the question. No red wheels, spiderwebs, skulls, or flat black

Sedan, sorry thought I wrote that in the original post

  14. Was thinking the same thing.

There is a hardtop 210 4 door model. It has the same roof as what chopperwolf posted on #7 reply. Not very many around. I've only seen one up close for myself.

That's a good start right there. However, red oxide with gloss black wheels would look good. Hmmm....And maybe a set of baby moons???

X2.....Either a 4 door sedan or a 4 door hardtop is cool. After all, it's a 56 Chevy.:cool::cool: By the way....Have you found the gas cap, yet??? :D:D:D

That is a nice combo, but my dad painted someone we knows model a red oxide and it has gloss black wheels.
I haven't even gotten it home yet, it's about an hour north of where I live, this week it will be coming home

Here's one of my faves. Don't let anyone tell you four doors can't be cool, they just lack imagination.

don,t let it bother you ,i,ve had mine 50 years as a mild custom and it sits down at shows with the best of them. go for it ,slam ,smooth it and drive it, mor doors are great family rides.

It doesn't bother me any! I'm just happy to have it. I'll make it my own and drive the wheels off it

Anyone got pics of the green one from Austin Speed Shop?

I've got a '56 4 door post myself. You can convert one into a 2 door sedan without touching the roof skin or windshield pillars if you were so inclined, there's some good tech articles floating around on the subject.

But no reason a nice mild custom couldn't be built with the doors in place.
