Oh I'm so glad you're way over there in indy 'cause I'd get in serious trouble with the wifey right about now... not to mention my father in law, the town cop!
Hey Scoob, You don't need a 'shop whore' to sweep and get you beers while you watch TV do you? I'd love the to buy the ride, but the whole 'summer of unenjoyment' thing has put a hurtin on funds. Thankfully, The General has seen fit to hire me, so I am at least gainfully employed again. Algon, you rule. JK
^^^ -Good luck man It sounds better in person for certain, if you lean it out it even crackles a little bit. Not bad for a mostly stock 302 at the least.
http://traditionalspeedandkustom.com/thegarage/index.php?topic=2993.0;all Damn!!! Some of these pics want to make me want to build a Dub
I can't wait to see it when it's running, it looks badass. Trust me SBF + light car = Faaaast...Wish I could build my car to late 70's/early 80's specs with a Boss 302/4-speed like it was raced but my wallet can't handle that unfortunatley. Maybe someday lol, once again love the car...
Thanks guys... and that is a really cool thread 1badnov posted. FordMaverickFanatic the original plan was to toss it together in a few months with what I had laying around and go racing. It's gotten wilder and more expensive from there, like most of my projects.
I haven't gotten to work on it much since starting the 302 but I did build the radiator mount, chute pack plate and push bar set up. I also got the lid rough cut and one deck pin mounted for mock up on the body. This is about it for right now. I need to cut sections out of a front clip structure I got for my Fairlane and find a home for some stuff in the way but I'm hoping to get back on it inspite of getting another project.
Safari-Tracker, Yes I'm guilty of that but left the board. There is some cool stuff over there. That was my first message board experience, I didn't know it was just easier to let the bandwagon think what they want then..... Thanks unclescooby, that is my second Jamaican, I no longer fit them as well as I did at 19 so I sold it to a skinny short kid and kept the 59 Healey under it.
here one that ran cedarfalls raceway in cedarfalls iowa night of fire weekend last month. if i recall it runs a bigblock chevy.
Yes me too please. Algon, You are still beating on this or you finished it and sold it to someone crazier than you?
Never saw this ol post- I thought this was a taboo here..... [very sorry if that was the truth.] I am working on a "drag Beetle" for myself. chopped 4"-"flatbacked look"-with 36 Ford rear glass....goin with 430" Buick[strong setback- with 360HP and 475 ftlbs torque... think I might get hurt?
Hey guys, Thanks for the interest here. I did get a little farther than what you've seen but I haven't touched it in a very long time. I'll see what I can dig up for show and tell, but I have been looking forward to getting back to it. Beaner, I have thought about borrowing the 289 for the Fairlane but I don't have any plans to ever sell it and I doubt it would bring much as is.
I still have the wolfsburg hood crest from my first car. I wish you luck, and I will look forward to any updates.........
