Projects 55 Oldsmobile

Picked up this running project a few weeks ago.

Already lowered.
Gotta do floor pans and get the seats upholstered.

 

Body appears to be a solid foundation to build. Globe emblem on the hood is cool!

 

Been doing a lot to the car over the last few months. Floors are complete, wiring is cleaned up, lights are wired and installed, new plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor.

 

Love it!

 

I have always been an Oldsmobile fan and it looks like a very solid car. My dad had a '55 Super 88 sedan when I was a kid. I'm sure it will turn out fine and you will enjoy it.

That being said, an SBC in an Oldsmobile just seems wrong to me, especially a 305. The originals "Rockets" were only 324 ci, so it should be easy to go bigger than that, even with a small block.
