Technical 55 Olds window part

While replacing the window channel felt on my 55 Olds 2dr, I found the adjusting screws at the bottom of the window channel were different lengths on the right and left door. One is 1 7/8 inch long and the other is 2 1/2 inches. Is this correct? Does anyone know of a source for this part and if not, would a part from another GM car fit? Google search for the Olds part keeps directing me to tri-five chevy part suppliers.

 

yep, they are common parts. The important thing is that the length allows the correct adjustment.

 

Olds and Buick 54-56 use most of the same door and window parts. Glass also.

I purchased a lot of stuff from Fusicks when I was rebuilding my 56 98 coupe.
They were always good to deal with and helpful.

 

I've spent my share at Fusick's and actually bought the channel felts and weatherstripping from them, but didn't see that part in their catalog. I'll check and see if I have the latest catalog and it would probably be worth an e-mail or call to them. Thanks

 

All GM thru the years used similar adjusters. While the ones for my 48 Pontiac are shorter and non-existent, i found that Chevrolet are the same. For you, check other make GM sources for your year Olds.
