caddyrat that is some dynamat that we got in some big rolls, bigred should have a bunch for sell at lsr. it's awesome stuff
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about , I would not have it any other way. . You guys did wonders within a short time. Congrats , it looks real good. Well I just posted some crazy thoughts on another thread about 57 Nomads.......and since I have one that is a roller project ........here it goes...........I am considering a mid engine 57 Nomad gasser.........I know the Nomad Gods will not be happy..........but.........can anybody relate to the idea of an extreme build .......it could happen ......I'm talking about something like the 55 Chevado from back in the day. The car would be limited to wheelstands, ya know nothing real extraordinary. Just a thought and mind build now but ............I do have all the ingredients to pull this off..........any support on this idea.
got to drive the gasser yesterday ! Freaking awesome man! best driving straight axle I've ever been in. 70mph just let go of the wheel and it holds straight. awesome. not going to be a problem making it to lsr!
Looking good.......but I kinda liked it before the primer........just something about old and tattered but with attitude and altitude. . I am sure it will be very nice.....you guys have done good!
Yea he wanted to keep it like that but nothing matched and it has done body damage that had to be fixed, but it's going to cool when he's finished, and it's not yet
Great looking '55 wagon! The gasser style always looks good, painted, or patchwork. I prefer paint myself, so glad to see you're giving it a facelift!
i got my appt. tuesday morning to get it lettered up..... double nickel .... that will give me wednesday to get it buffed out and loaded for austin..... im ready to get this show on the road so i can get sum r&r in austin.........

Great job guys on the build. Mine is still in primer. I sure like that Atomic orange chevy has. Buddy of mine got a new corvette in it and I just love the color. can't wait to see more posts. YRUHOT............Doug
the axel kit as odass said was from speedway it was 50" wide + 1/2 inch for wilwood. it was the widest that speedway listed. fits pretty good. by the way 1955 spidergears suck. my right foot got heavy and my left foot got light today, the first burnout was killer......i guess the tires got sticky and the second one didnt go over so well..... and the rest of the story is i spent the rest of the day putting a new chunk in it... sucks two days before im leaving for austin.. so NO BURNOUTS in austin.......
Looking good I like the style I like the all used up look of it. I'm doing a similar style build. No need for the time on the body, just on the mechanics to make 'er go fast.
holly shtz this is the first night im not out in the shop working on my gass'r in 6 week until 4am. its finally done enough for its main voyage 8 hrs to austin tx for lonestar roundup..... im going to bed with a smile and a bad azz car finally.... o yeah my old lady said sum kool stuff might be going on tonight and i would kinda like to b there for it........lol im out c u in austin..........
