   Anybody know what the rear end ratio is on a '55 Ford 272 V8 with 3 on the tree and no overdrive?

   The overdrive axle wasn't much different, it was 3.89. Next 'taller' ratio was 3.55 which was available as an option with the 272/stick cars.
