Technical 55 desoto grill on styleline

has anybody on here fitted 1 to a 49 styleline? i just got hold of complete grill assy,wondered what it would look like,it came off 55,with 7 teeth and 2 big end teeth

 

Saint Vasquez ran a narrowed '55 DeSoto grille in a '53 Chevy surround in his '50 convertible.
Not a personal favorite, but a famous car. (Largely for Watson's later outrageous scalloped paint job.)



Here is a later variation on that theme. I like this one much better.

 

Hmm all I see is pinstriping not scallops

i bought this original 1 .it had surface rust and was covered in crap, i spent 2 days cleaning it up,
