55 Chevys (all of them) show us what ya got...

I just get a hankerin to see them, seein Godzilla and Black Magic gettin Ebayed, I thought it would be an appropriate send off as they travel into Goldchainerland.....

This old chev is mine. I got the itch settled this past summer so I think it's time for the next stage.

 

Here is my parts chaser/family cruiser, I saved it from the billet treatment and a nasty case of custom oak flooring.

 

Nice car and a beautiful background. Is it your hometown.

Here's one of my projects that's been bumped WAY down the list. I guess I need to get rid of it.
And a friends C/Gas 55 taken in the 60's. He replaced the red wheels with slots pretty soon after this was taken. It was a gas class racer, but never ran a straight axle or mile high stance. He won more races than he lost with this car at the local track.

This one's in my name so technically it's mine. It used to be an old C/Gasser in the mid-sixties called the "GO GO Car". My dad and little brother built it from a shell I bought in '86 for 400 bucks! 350/4-speed. These days my old man bolts slicks on it, drives it to the track and runs low 8s in the eighth mile. It's a daily driver.

He just changed it over to a hydro last month and we ain't speaking to each other because of it! (Just kiddin'). The last pic is my first '55 from when I was 15. One of these days I'm gonna re-create this car right down to the primer spots and run a SICK small block etc etc ...Anybody know where I can find 2 15x3 Rocket mags? Flaky chrome would be period correct and fine with me!

This one's been part of the family for 15 years, 26K miles, and two paint jobs.

Very difficult to see the beast leave. I will have to find some solice with the Blown 40 Willys PU I got in trade. Still...a monster as large as Godzilla leaves a giant hole to fill...between the Willys and "Rodan" I think I will be OK. Rodan will be ready to take flight soon and the fire storm that will follow will leave the earth smoldering...and all that come up against him will be vanquished. One monster is just about as good as the next....
