55 Chevy Dual Master Cylinder

  1. Anyone know what is the best direct fit replacement for a factory single one? Don't want anything with a booster...

68-73 Chevelle, Nova, Camaro with manual drum brakes is one. One for a 70 Vette with manual brakes would be the other and more preferred choice as it has a larger reservoir if front disc's are a future plan. Both of these app's are 1" in bore as needed for your app.

Wow, MANUAL drum brakes. Isn't that hard on the hands?

Classic Chevy does a kit with all you need. Relatively inexpensive, and all the parts are provided. Did my 56 Chevy a few years ago after a rear wheel cylinder blowout going downhill into traffic. Cheap insurance.

I used a 71 Nova master, but with a booster but the bolt pattern is the same. Just about all Chevy masters fit all Chevy firewall mounting screws/ studs. Make sure you get one for drum/ drum.
