My 55 only lights up the parking lamps up front in the first switch position. When the headlights (position 2) are on he parking lights go out. Is this by design? I have verified wiring and tested the switch.
    Thanks guys

If you want them to stay on with the headlights, put a jumper between the park light and the dash light terminal on the switch.

Thought about it a little bit and edited my post. If you jump to the dash light you will burn up the dimmer resister for the lights. Go to the tail light instead.
