    i just thinks it's a shame that the pontiac was such a good engine design (in fact chevy has their rocker design) but did not become THE engine.

    In a way it sort of a waste of a good design.

    Kinda like the middle child.

    Discuss.

    I think you would like my mild custom 55 Chieftain hardtop with 57 347" motor but I must be dumb because I don't know how to post pictures on this site. Can you explain how it's done, or I can e-mail some to you privately.

    this 860 '55 with 287 & strato-streak was mine all too briefly in 1989. I got it (running and driving) off one of those lots in Duncan, OK where the most expensive car you could buy was $1500. I paid $900 for it because the guy said reverse on the transmission was out - actually it was just low on tranny fluid.

    a now ex-wife caused me to lose it. I'm about 90% certain it still resides in Duncan......on the faaaaaaaaar west edge of town.

    57 Starchief, same owner for 46 years. (Girlfriend) Bought as a runner / driver for $300.00 and she does DRIVE it. Not original or traditional,but lot's of fun.
