My wife's 56. The year we met at 13 and 14 yrs old. Ooops, must have been a little over the speed limit. Fourdy
Heres a few more 55 pics Ive collected over the last sevral years of 4 doors that Ive liked, I like em all ,just some a little better than others like these.......I genrally like the posts to be painted a darker color matching the bottom color to kind of subdue that back post for a cleaner look on belairs anyway as they are a little easier to get by with that since they have the trim around the side windows to help make that paint break. Most of these may look a little dated with the rallies etc. but I still like the cars over all and the size and vibe of the rallies just seem to be meant for these cars as they just make em look rite somehow. (I think most of these have the vette style 8s like I put on mine)
Some nice looking four doors. I used to have a 57 4dr I drove everyday, had as much fun in it as any of the 2dr's I've had. I had a kid walk up to my 57 at a gas station and say to bad that's a 4 dr that car would've been pretty cool if it were a 2dr, then he walked over to his pos 4 dr Honda with no exhaust and took of squealing the tires.
There was a time, 4 doors were only parts cars to me, or something your parents-grandparents drove. But, not any more! 55 150 or 210 models, 56 150 models, and 57 150 models, with 4 doors, get my attention now. I tend to like plain Jane type of cars more than the better equipped models such as the Bel Air's. Bring on those 4 doors, and your station wagons too. Butch/56sedandelivery.
Oldwood, My wife was really happy to see her car on here until your comment. I explained to her that some people comment before they think about the comments about someone's wife and that you hadn't known that she was wearing a hawaian mumu and lei. It was a fantastic car show with an Elvis and hawaii theme. I will be more careful in the future. Fourdy
***I think this thread is a good idea, lets not make another boring 2dr vs 4dr argument out of it and just see if we can scrounge up some good 4 door tri five pics if not only for current owners but for future refrence and inspiration for others*** I for one would like to eventually have another one.
my 4 door conversion picture was meant to inspire---don't cut up nice 4 drs but if they are ragged out put them out of their misery and make two doors out of them...
I use my four door for weddings and also have taken my grandparents out to events and i'm glad i don't have to shuffle them in between a seat and the b pillar, But i was wondering if 2 doors are better than four would no doors be better than two. And by the way i do own two door cars as well, and not butchered four doors turned into two doors.
the best one of the bunch, altho I think great cars all of them Now the challenge I would love to see is someone taking a 2-door and making it into a 4-door. that would be AMAZING!!!
I cant say Im crazy about the black and white 56 but I do kind of like the way they did the 2 tone break with it being a 4 door 56 belair...... Any of the tri five belair 4 door post/sedans look outstandingly good in solid shiny black
I also remember seeing pics of someone having some fun at the dragstrip with this one a few years ago.
Still tryin to keep this thread afloat, forgive me for the cryin babydoll but thats a pretty slick 55 from some years back, some chrome reverse would look a little better on it too.
